Recovery After Dental Mini Implants

The mini implant treatment is less invasive and allows for a quick healing process with fewer side effects such as swelling and discomfort. Antibiotics may be provided after treatment, and we may recommend you use an antibacterial mouthwash.

Caring for Your Mini Dental Implants

Mini dental implants are relatively low maintenance. For single teeth – brushing, flossing, and annual cleanings will keep your crown looking its best, just as you would care for your natural teeth. For dentures, your mini dental implants will allow removal for cleaning. The dentures will be held in place with a ball and socket joint at the end of the implant posts. You can detach the dentures by pulling straight off the posts. After cleaning, the dentures should snap back into place by aligning the O-rings of the dentures over the posts.

The implants themselves may also require cleaning. You may be advised to brush your implants after removing your dental appliance. At your annual dental examination, the posts of your implants might need to be cleaned to remove plaque buildup. I normally wouldn't think of the dentist office as a family-like atmosphere, but that's what it feels like here! I've been coming here for a couple years and during each visit, every part of it goes smoothly. The staff seem to work really well together and it makes for a very comfortable, friendly, and personalized experience. I never end up waiting to be seen as they are always on-time with my scheduled appointments. They also never push for any treatments on me even though I do trust the dentist's recommendation. At this clinic, there is only one dentist who has shortest last name "LU" yet he is very knowledgeable and good at all aspects of dentistry. The assistants are very polite and well-trained. They are fun to talk to. Dr. LU is very gentle and always make sure I am comfortable. There is an overhead TV at each treatment room with many channels to watch. The appointments always seem to go fast yet never felt been rushed. Highly recommend this place!
